Walt Disney refused to separate entertainment from education and challenged the assumption that entertainment has little educational value. He knew that “education was not confined to schools but implicit in the broader realm of popular culture and its own mechanisms for the production of knowledge and values. He also knew that it had to be lively and enjoyable.” (The Mouse That Roared by Henry A. Giroux, p. 18)
