Victory Home Educators & Classical Conversations of Victory

Victory Home Educators has been serving the Tulsa area homeschool community for the last 17 years. Our group desires to provide the best of both worlds – a quality family support group in a fun family environment.

We offer co-op enrichment classes for our families, field trips, and monthly chapel services. They will have plenty of opportunity to build quality and lasting relationships. We also offer a yearbook to help you remember the special memories of the school year. For teenagers we have monthly activities and events especially for this age group which provides social interaction and community projects in a supervised and godly setting. We also offer concurrent enrollment for our juniors and seniors with Victory Bible College. Victory Home Educators provides you with an opportunity to connect with other home school parents, exchange ideas, hear great speakers on a variety of applicable topics, and receive prayer.

If you are looking for a quality family support group and fellowship in your homeschooling decision, please use our “Contact Us” tab for additional information about Victory Home Educators. We equip parents and students with the “lost” tools of learning necessary to discover the order and beauty of creation and to inspire others to do the same. We believe parents are their children’s primary teachers not because parents know everything but because each child is uniquely (and wonderfully!) made and because the people who know and love a child best are the ones most motivated to help that child succeed. For more information email us at mrslisagoforth@gmail.com.

Tri City Home Educators

WHO ARE WE?

Tri City Home Educators (TCHE) is a group of Christian Home Educators that meets in the Tri City areas of Newcastle, Blanchard/Bridgecreek and Tuttle in Oklahoma. TCHE has been serving this area of the state since 1993. We have many activities to offer within our group such as geography fair, science fair, father daughter gala, mother son banquet, and many, many more. We are affiliated with OCHEC (Oklahoma Christian Home Educators’ Consortium) and participate in many events with them such as Capitol Day, Leadership Retreats and the annual Oklahoma Home School Convention.

We are, by design, a Christian group. We are not, however, associated with any denomination. Each family is to instruct their children in Scripture, in accordance with their own interpretations and convictions. Our mission is to continue to encourage our member families in the growth of their children educationally, spiritually, and physically.

Heritage Homeschool Co-op

Welcome to Heritage Homeschool Co-op!

Heritage Homeschool Co-Op of Owasso is a home education support group that was founded in 2006 with a handful of homeschooling families. We have seen steady growth each year and starting at the beginning of the 2012 school year, we had approximately 80 families in our group. We serve Owasso, Oklahoma and surrounding areas in northeast Oklahoma (i.e. – Collinsville, Claremore, Verdigris Valley, Oologah, Skiatook and Sperry).

Heritage Homeschool Co-Op is Christian in structure and leadership, but open to all for membership. We offer field trips (1-2 p/month), special classes (including P.E., Music, Art, Yearbook, and Golf Club), school pictures, fellowship activities, holiday parties, monthly support meetings, service projects, Mom’s Night Out, family events and special guest speakers – and most of all, encouragement for homeschool families.

We are more of a “social” co-op, rather than an “academic” one, in that we feel our children get most of the formal education they need at home during the week. It is our goal to offer a fun time for parents and kids to get together for support, encouragement and to develop deeper friendships. The majority of the kids in our group range from preschool age to about eighth grade, although we do have several older students, as well, as our group is aging over time together.

Heritage Homeschool Co-Op is dedicated to serving home educating families and friends. In this purely voluntary capacity, we desire to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, promote recognition of Him in all educational subject matter, and encourage parents in training their children “in the way in which they should go.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Heartland Home Educators

Believing that God has given us the responsibility to prepare our children with the values and skills they need to lead fruitful lives, families in Heartland Home Educators have found that a great means to meet that responsibility is through home education. We define home education as both parent-directed* and privately-funded**, which differentiate home education from public and private schooling, whether at brick-and-mortar or virtual schools. Thankfully, families have several choices when it comes to educating their children. It has always been HHE’s purpose to support like-minded Christian families who choose to home educate their children.

You may be new to the philosophy of home education. Don’t worry. There are numerous resources to help you decide if it is the right choice for your family and to help you get started. To begin with, we encourage you to read the information on www.ochec.com, which is the website of our state organization, Oklahoma Christian Home Educators’ Consociation, Inc. (OCHEC). They can help you with getting started, understanding Oklahoma law, finding helpful website links, and answering FAQs. Also, be sure to attend OCHEC’s annual convention in the spring. It is a great place to learn and be inspired through workshops and speakers, in addition to the opportunity to see and purchase homeschooling curriculum. The Tulsa City-County Library has a large collection of homeschooling books as do local bookstores. Finally, the Internet has many useful websites on home education and curriculum.

If you find that a parent-directed, privately-funded education is part of God’s plan for your family, Heartland Home Educators would love to support you with our co-op classes, holiday parties, an active website with a forum, and other activities and tools. Click on the “I Want to Join” link on the left-hand side of this website and/or click on the link, “HHE Information Packet,” and follow the instructions to mail in the requested information.

CHEF: Christian Home Educators Fellowship

Welcome to CHEF of Oklahoma (Christian Home Educators Fellowship)!

CHEF is a Christian homeschool association comprised of Christian homeschoolers from the Tulsa metro and the surrounding areas in northeastern Oklahoma. CHEF is a volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization. We are dedicated to supporting and serving Christian home educating families. CHEF functions in a purely volunteer capacity, seeking to promote the preeminence of Christ and a Christian world view in the home, education, and all of life. We desire to be a source of encouragement and help to those who are endeavoring to teach and train their children at home. (Deut. 6:6-8, Prov. 22:6, Eph. 6:4)

CHEF is a family friendly organization with many large families. We are sensitive to the financial burden that homeschool activities such as sports can place on a family. For this reason, CHEF tries to keep the cost of its activities as reasonable as possible.

CHEF offers a graduation for all area members, yearly membership picnic, plus a basketball program for boy and girls elementary through high school age. With an updated website, CHEF seeks to maximize communication through weekly emails generated directly from the site with up to date information and links for its members. CHEF also offers monthly meetings, field trips, mom’s night out, and other various activities through area support groups.

Bartlesville Classical Conversations

What Is CC?

Across the United States, Classical Conversations Communities exist to complement your home-centered education and connect you with like-minded families. Each community is facilitated by a trained parent-director, and classes are led by trained parent-tutors who model the classical tools of learning. Tutors have the privilege of encouraging students toward becoming lifelong learners while also encouraging parents in the classical teaching of their children.

Our three curriculum programs support your home-centered education by providing teaching tools for you, the parent, and quality educational materials for your student. Our guides, books, timeline cards, and multimedia resources have been thoughtfully crafted and selected. The math, science, literature, Latin, history, geography and fine arts studied in our Foundations Program represent a broad and interesting body of information. Our Essentials Program students work toward mastering English language skills and improving their writing technique. As students move into our Challenge Program and work toward becoming independent learners, they read, discuss, debate, analyze and write about award-winning literature—always within the framework of history and a biblical worldview.

One of the greatest benefits of joining our CC Communities is they provide a place for your students to enjoy other students. Kids love the chance to interact, play, and have some FUN as they are—incidentally—building a scale model of the solar system, making beautiful music on the tin whistle, or learning Socratic logic. And let’s face it: Homeschooling is hard work. Parents need a place to plug in and support one another, too!

Our Foundations Communities serve children in the early stages, roughly ages 4 to 11. Foundations parents and students meet once a week for 24 weeks during the school year. Once late-elementary students enter the dialectic stage of learning, they join peers in our Essentials Communities, which usually meet in the afternoons after Foundations. In the middle and high school years, students hone their dialectic and rhetoric skills in our Challenge Communities.

Classical Conversations values your time and commitment to quality classical Christian education for your family. We honor your desire to train your children in the way they should go. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of joining you on the journey!

If you’d like additional information about our community, please contact Cindy Land at (918)914-3258 or cindyrland@aol.com. May God richly bless your home schooling endeavors!
